I don’t know why I have an Olsen smile...

Um, hi. I don’t know why I have an Olsen smile here.

Today I got a jumpstart on my juice fast by grabbing a Made-To-Order one at Nectar to supplement my lunch. It was beet, cucumber, celery, spinach, and ginger.

A few of you have been wondering what I’ve been eating to prep for a juice fast:

Generally, I try to eat as vegan, raw, and clean as possible. I have been pescaterian since April, and when I want to cleanse as I am doing now, I eliminate the fish, dairy, and eggs* entirely.

Morning: Lemon water

Breakfast: Raw fruit. Apples are one of the most cleansing, but I also follow my gut at the grocery store and try different things.

Lunch & Dinner: Raw and/or cooked vegetables. I incorporate some of the heavier raw foods such as nuts but in moderation. Too much of that stuff feels like it can sit in your digestive system longer than a steak.

Beverages: Water and herbal / green teas

I’ll try and elaborate on these points in greater detail as the week progresses.

If you want more of the daily diet nitty gritty, however, follow me on twitter. I am too embarrassed to make bulleted lists or photo collages of my diet here. My tweets, however, are just the easiest way for me to keep a food and exercise log.

* Please note my lacto-ovo-ness is not due to ice cream binges or brunch omelettes. It’s more because those are ingredients in bread and the occasionally consumed pastry. Of course, that wasn’t always the case.

Tip: Drink Lemon Water First Thing in the Morning

If you do one small thing to cleanse yourself every day, this is it. Drinking lemon water every...

Our Deepest Fear - Marianne Williamson

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond...

How To: Pre & Post Juice Fast

To follow up on my earlier posts, I wanted to provide how I prepare for and break from a juice...

Blueprint Cleanse Cheatsheet: The Daily Sequence

It occurred to me in the last entry that I didn’t outline what the suggested #1 - #6 drinking...

Photo

Blue Print Cleanse on the Cheap

To follow up on response to Mascarah and my earlier postings (1, 2), this weekend I did my own Poor...

This infamous Blueprint Cleanse

This infamous Blueprint Cleanse: mascarah:
